Gant Garrard (pronounced Jerrod) aka Gant-Man was introduced to the turntables by his older brother and learned how to count beats and blend records at the young age of 5. Gant was ready to share his talent with the world beginning at age 10 when the program director gave him his own mixshow on a college radio station in Chicago (WKKC 89.3 FM) where he mixed from 1989 through 1997.
At age 14, his first residency was at a roller rink “The Rink Fitness Factory” from 1994 to 1996 where he exposed his House tracks to a large south side audience which helped shape the Juke House sound.
in 1995, Gant produced his first EP for Dance Mania Records titled “Its About Time” which spawned the Chicago underground smash “3 Blind Mice” which was built around the theme music from “The Three Stooges” television show. He became known in Chicago as the “Youngest Professional DJ” and is recognized as being one of the main key innovators of Ghetto House/Juke. This EP was followed by several EP’s and mixtapes sold locally.
In 1998, Gant alongside DJ Puncho coined the word “Juke” by saying it on House tracks and mixtapes which spawned the genre of “Juke House” music. That year, Gant also began releasing House music EP’s under the pseudonym “Gant Garrard” to separate his Juke music tracks from his House music tracks.
At age 18, he began to travel, playing both the rave and club circuits in Chicago, the U.S., as well as in Europe. In 1998-99 Gant toured with Paul Johnson playing in France, Belgium and Switzerland, which prepared him for his summer 2000 residency in Ibiza at El Divino alongside Paul.
Gant was the assistant producer with Grammy Award winning remixer Maurice Joshua on R&B group Destiny’s Child remixes which landed him his breakthrough remix in 2005. This made Gant the first Juke House producer to have a Juke remix on a major label with a major artist with his official remix of Beyonce’s “Check On It” feat. Slim Thug on Sony/Columbia Records.
In 2006, Gant produced a smash remix of Chicago House/Techno legend Cajmere aka Green Velvet’s “Shake & Pop” single which sold the most downloads on the “Shake & Pop” EP. Gant continues to collaborate with the Cajual Records family to this day.
Since then, Gant produced with the Fool’s Gold Records family releasing the club smash “Juke Dat Girl” single and remixing Kid Sister singles, “Damn Girl” and “Pro Nails” feat. Kanye West. He also produced her next single “Switchboard” featuring Gant rapping on the 2nd verse in 2008.
Gant performed at Lollapalooza in Chicago that year with Kid Sister. After, Gant bacame Kid Sister’s tour dj travelling to New York for CMJ, Brazil for the Nokia Trendz Festival, Vancouver, B.C. and Miami for the Winter Music Conference. This tour was followed by solo gigs in Paris, Brazil, Alberta, San Franscisco, Portland, Albuquerque, Denver, and New York.
Most recently, Gant performed as a guest along side Green Velvet at North Coast Music Festival doing his “Percolator” remix. His track, “Juke Dat Girl” is featured in the latest Tyler Perry’s movie “Peeples” released in May of 2013. Gant also performed at Electric Daisy Carnival during it’s debut in the Chicagoland area in May of 2013. You never know what to expect from the talented Gant or where his music might appear.

Danny the Wildchild aka Daniel Garcia was born on the South side of Chicago in 1977. The brother of a once aspiring DJ, he keenly watched and quickly learned the tricks of the trade. Danny began djing at age nine soon surpassing his brother’s abilities and eventually inherited his equipment and records. At twelve, Danny entered a Chicago area contest for young DJ’s and won. He took home that fifty-dollar prize and was called “The Wildchild” from that day forward. Although Danny’s roots were as a Hip-Hop DJ, he was eventually introduced into the Chicago Rave scene and to the world of drum-n-bass. He enjoyed this new form of music, but also loved hip-hop and began to creatively blend the two genres creating a unique sound of his own. As Danny’s turntable talents grew, he began to incorporate scratching and DMC style battle tricks into his Drum-n-Bass sets. His precise mixing skills and unique style and sound gave him the opportunity to bring Drum-n-Bass into the DMC and Hip-Hop scenes. Danny’s recognition has earned him a collection of praises from domestic and international magazines such as Mixer, Thousand Words, Faqt, and Lotus to name just a few. Danny was also featured as one of the people making waves in the scene in Urb’s Next 100 Artists to Watch Issue. Today Danny has become one of the most valued U.S. Drum-n-Bass DJ’s. His unique blends of jungle and Hip-Hop beats and amazing scratching and beat juggling have proved to be show stopping. His talents have brought him to perform in venues worldwide and opening up for such acts as Eminem, Method Man, The Jungle Brothers, De La Soul, Moby, Goldie, MixMaster Mike and The Pharcyde. Danny also toured extensively throughout Europe with DJ Q-bert in 2002 (see djqbert.com). Although most weekends he is on the road, he still has time to host the 12midnight slot on Chicago’s Alternative Radio station Q101FM and is gotten back in the studio. In March, the Wildchild released a follow-up to his 1999 12″ release on Bad Boy Bill’s Canvas label. His first effort at mix CD culminated in the release of “Danny The Wildchild: Booked” (March 2001). The Wildchild’s was the first in a series of “Booked” CD’s from Chicago’s Strictly Hype Recordings. This was followed by the successful release of his latest CD in 2002 on Surge Recordings entitled “Fully Sorted”.

The duo of Michael Cutrone (Twerkle) and Brooks Jones (TrapLee Jones) has been making music together since April 20th of 2012 but it’s neither ones first foray into music production. Brought up on hip-hop, R&B, jazz, and psychedelic rock, the two seamlessly combine all these influences into one fast paced high energy set heavily laced with original production. TRILLWAVE has had several releases since their inception, the most well known being the TRAPGODZ series. The 3rd installment is set for release in late fall.
The turn up atmosphere they cultivate is unparalleled. After their debut show at SXSW the duo went from relatively unknown to one of Chicago’s fastest rising dance acts. After having played only five shows in Chicago they landed a monthly residency headlining one of Chicago’s premier clubs, Sound-Bar. In addition to crushing their hometown TRILLWAVE has also embarked on two tours as well as one off shows all across the country. Playing at venues such as Webster Hall in NYC to MJQ in Atlanta they have shared the stage with Heroes X Villains, Styles & Complete , DJ Sliink, FKi, Stooki Sound, TWO9, Brillz, Document One, Crizzly, Figure, Helicopter Showdown, Mantis, Reid Speed, and more. It’s become painfully clear that they got next.
After their next release the two are set to lock themselves away in the lab until spring, crafting their first album release set for Summer 2014. Until then you can catch them at their monthly residency at SoundBar or exclusive one off shows across the US where they will be playing their newest releases as well as some unreleased gems. With an ever evolving multi genre set, it’s safe to assume that each show will be unique and as turnt as the duo themselves. And beware, the Djenocide is coming.

As a little boy, Vaughn Kasdorf, a.k.a. FLiP, had grown up with his parents having a basement band. His dad was a bass guitarist and his mom was a drummer. After school, FLiP would go down to the basement and gain rhythm and learn the beat of a drum. Having done this, he joined percussion in school and was in the “Top 3″ seats through-out middle school.
During spring break of ’99, FLiP went to St. Petersburg, FL and seen DJ Icey and Huda Hudia as a “mind opening” event, which led him to want to experience EDM in a whole new way; From there on, he was highly interested in funky breaks and grew fond of the beats and rhythm in a whole new prospective. Listening and watching dj’s for years after, FLiP bought his first turntables and mixer in 2004 and began practicing to beat match.
After making FLiPSiDE Ent. in 2007 as a business, he started making appearances on fliers and events through out the Midwest. After Item 9 released their “bees knees” set @ FLiP ‘n’ Beatz, he knew there must be a change in genre: FLiP became a DuBbER LuVeR. Starting out as a break beats dj since 2004, five years later he fell in love with dubstep. Heavy wobble and hard bass lines running through his veins; He has been making eyes open, fists pumping, and crowds dancing to his vibrant personality and music mashups…penetrating minds and ears for all the dubber lovers.

If you’ve heard Derek Fer Real play before, you already know that he brings the Funky, Jackin, Acid, and Bass Heavy Tech House sounds all combined into one clusterfuck of awesome vibes and dancefloor madness!
DFR has dj’d for fifteen years, which ironically is exactly one half of his life, but he didn’t really step out and play live regularly until about seven years ago. He also has promoted events in Wisconsin under the A Long Nite Productions name for the past 12 years with things really coming into place the past seven years. Putting on the “Choose Your Own Raventure” parties were some of his most successful favorites and he has recently had success in Milwaukee with his monthly “Showcase” events located at Studio 200.

With a lifetime passion for music, Tim began his DJ’ing career at the age of 15 in the mid-90′s while working for a community radio station where he played everything from heavy metal and punk rock to techno and acid house. After going to his first rave party a short time later, he was hooked on electronic music. Tim fell in love with with the styles of turntablist dj’s and the long flowing transitions of trance DJ’s. As a talented artist with an ability to blend various genre into an original eclectic style, “Every music genre affords it’s own unique methods of blending together for the DJ’s performing that style of music, but there’s something so amazing about pulling the best elements of each and fusing them together into a seamless groove.” Tim brings an innovative perspective to the art of DJ”ing that fuses the elements of electronic music.
